Presentation of A Cœur Vaillant Défibrillateurs

A Coeur Vaillant Défibrillateurs celebrates its 10th anniversary ! Its founder, Thierry Vogt, a former volunteer firefighter for 17 years, has always wanted to dedicate his life to first aid and personal assistance. As a firefighter and former Mayor of his town, he noted the lack of cardiac defibrillators and training in life-saving gestures, throughout the territory.

It was therefore in 2011 that he decided to launch the company A Coeur Vaillant Défribrillateurs, a company now made up of 7 employees, based in Gironde, and operating throughout France.

Cardiac defribrillators

The objective is to equip businesses, communities and establishments open to the public with automated externa de-screeners. A "A.E.D." offers 30% more chance of survival in the event of cardiac arrest !

Training in saving gestures

This mission consists of training the French population in life-saving gestures, in order to bring down the sad figure of 50,000 victims of cardiac arrest in France.

Reduction of carbon and environmental footprint

A Coeur Vaillant is implementing concrete actions to reduce its impact, such as reducing its waste or recycling

Tree plantation

Each year, part of the profits are donated for the planting of trees in France with Atmosylva to preserve our French forests.

Participants will leave from Bouliac near Bordeaux and will complete a loop through the Archachon basin

The reforestation project

The race will restore a forest in Gironde that burned down in April 2017, by planting diverse species.

Mechanic for 5 years, I prefer to take advantage of my passion on the road than to repair poor maintenance of machines. Proud to have a smooth leg, I take this opportunity to dazzle cyclists during my crazy climbs on the coast of my village. The banana is for me the ideal supply, not for its nutritive properties but to throw the skin on the road and reach the entrance sign to the local village. Despite my crazy cycling passions, my partner and I starded a family of two children.

Type of Project : Reconstruction of degraded forest

Project history : The fire took place in April 2017 and burned approximately 50ha of forest in Saint-Magne. At the same time, two other fires took place in Lesparre-Médoc and Blanquefort, but it was the Cissac-Médoc area that was the most marked with, 1,100 ha of burnt pines. The spread of the flames was very rapid due to dry vegetation and winds that ware difficult to control.

Number of trees to be planted : 1355 trees

Species planted : Maritime pine and broad-leaved species in diversification : Sessile oak, Cork oak.
