Reforestation - Vouzon (Loir-et-Cher)

The Project

Old forest crop of Douglas fir with serious tree declines. The water stress of the plots, mainly due to the soil and the climate change, no longer allow to consider this species of tree in this location.

  • Plantation of Corsican Pine and a species of diversification: sessile oak for biodiversity (birds, mammals). This reforestation will be realized with species better adapted to climate change and to the soil

Department of Loir-et-Cher

Vouzon is located in the heart of Sologne, a natural region included between the river of the Loire and its two affluents, and the river of Cher. The soils are generally quite poor and with a dominance of clay and sand, wich makes it less favorable for agriculture.

Vouzon is an authentic village in Sologne, and its forests or typical of the "grande Sologne", characterized by diversified forest spaces.
